Post looking for Iroc-Z with the 5.7 Liter

Hey, I live in sunny south florida and I have over $5,000 CASH to spend, and I have a wide variety of Camaro's Ill buy. I want a 1988-present Iroc-Z/Z-28, so in other words I basically want a camaro of those years with the 5.7 liter. I used to own a 1989 305 V8 RS. It was a great car. I bought it for $700 and it looked and ran like absolute crap. It looked like it went through hell and back. But I took 2 years restoring it and it looked and ran like a champ. It even Won 2nd place at Moroso's Super Pepsi's Chevy Show. But on July 4th of this year some drunk ******* pulled right out inf ront of me in my neighborhood and totalled my Camaro. Nothing was my fault so I got a few bucks to spend on a new camaro now. So hopefully I can find what i want.

It shouldn't be hard to find what you want, but keep in mind that $5000 isn't going to find you a real nice one unless you get super lucky. $5k will get you a nice car, but definately not a mint one. Also keep in mind that not all IROCs were 5.7s, infact most weren't.

Do a thread on the for sale section..

Go to www.autotrader.com and look everywhere, I drove to Tulsa, Ok to buy my 86 Iroc with absolutely NO rust!!

Just depends on what you want, if your going to be pulling the motor get a v6 and or whatever, but it sounds like your needing a daily driver..

thanks guys...yes its a daily driver i need...i just want the power and decent reliability to come from a 5.7 liter V8. I do body work, im 17 years old and I work at a detail shop so i do a lot of body so if the car doesnt look very as far as paint and dents and scratches go..then thats fine. Im just in need/want of the decent running 5.7 liter in a camaro.

Easy to find my freind- 44% of IROCs from 87-90 were 350's - 88-90 couldn't be too far off that.

Post over in the wanted section of Florida Thirdgen ( www.fl-thirdgen.org ) I haven't seen any for sale recently, but there is always the chance of someone who knows someone who is selling one. Good luck!!!
