Arrow leaking coolant *help*

we have an 85 camaro iroc-z. there was coolant building up under the intake manifolds. we replaced the thermostat and flushed everything. we thought it was leaking from the thermostat housing because the gasket was looking nasty. we put a new gasket on it and also liquid gasket so we know that is not what is leaking. but we are still getting coolant in the same spot. here is a picture. does anyone have any ideas? maybe just the intake manifold or worse the head?

Check your coolant lines going to your throttle body, could be leaking there and dripping down and pooling around you thermostat housing.

leak

I recently encountered a thermostat housing that I couldn't get to seal. It took 4 tries till I got it to seal. First make sure the housing isn't warped by putting sandpaper on something flat and rub the housing over it making sure the whole surface even. ( not to low of a grid you don't want deep scratches on the housing) Then buy one of those thick gaskets ( its app. 1/8 in. thick) that costs around $7 ( but well worth it to fix a leak ). I also sprayed a gasket sealant on to help hold it in place during assembly. ( it was a spray that made it sticky )
From the look of the picture it looks like either the hose isn't tight, the hose has a hole in it, or you have a housing not sealing.
Good luck
Dan

Its either coming from your throttle body hoses, the thermostat housing or the thermostat hose.
if its a leak from a hose make sure you take the hose off and flex it near where the hose clamp goes to see if it made a crack, because thats where a crack will usually occur.
If its not that then its your housing, I've seen them warp a bunch of times. They aren't that expensive. Like pepboys has them, and you can get a chrome one to make the engine bay look nicer.

You also might want to check that the intake is nice and flat where the thermostat housing mounts. I had that problem when I had my stock intake.

Why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone? Do the TB bypass mod and see if that is the cure. If not, it leaves only 1 culprit, doesn't it? After all, the hose going to and coming from could be leaky or the gasket could be leaky too.
