Unhappy Leak

I have a leak coming from my crank. I am not a mechanic by any means. I'm wondering is this tough to fix? Is it expensive?

How can you have a leak from your crank? You mean oil pan, Rear Main seal?

Clarify please.

I don't know. That's what my boy said. It's not the oil pan, it's a case in front of my driveshaft. it has wetness around it. I have no idea what it is. I was told it was the crank case. Iwish I still had my digital camera I would post a pic. I'll try to borrow one and post it so you can see.

rear pinion seal. are the tires connected to this supposed crank.
if so its your pinion seal. if so most likely cause your bearing is shot like mean no rush keep it topped off and rebuild when you can with better gears

if u mean in FRONT of the driveshaft,as in front of the car, thats the transmission pan. theres a gasket between it and the transmission that goes bad on every car that has average/decent mileage on it. u can replace it if u want,or just keep checking the trans. fluid once or twice a week.
