L98 idles at 1500 in park......

Hey guys, well I have been battleing this problem for over a week now. The car fires up in the morning and once it smoothes out, climbs to 1500 and WILL NOT kick down...... I shut the car off after nearly 15 minutes, and then restarted it, it idled at around 1K....... Why is this? It reminds me of the choke on my 86, stuck, but I know this is not the case..... Anyone ever run into this before??? I am really starting to worry here. Could this all be that damn IAC sensor? Are they really that ****ing annoying??? Thanks guys.

Mine idles high, then i tap the gas pedal for like 1/10th of a second n it falls back down to 600-700rpm. Make sure TPS is set correctly, remove the IAC and clean it thoroughly, clean out your throttle body, then try again. My moms 91 vette was having the same problem, i think the IAC lines were clogged up or something, I don't remember exactly, but it was a fun car to drive, u let go of the gas n the car would shoot forward lol.
