Kumho Ecsta ASX tires??

I found these Kumho Ecsta ASX tires on tirerack for $106 a piece, 255/40/17's and that is about the price range I want to pay. Well actually my parents are getting me rims and tires for my graduation present so I don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Any one know anything about these tires good or bad??

Thumbs up

I've gottem and the were pretty good........They are about 2 years old and I am now looking for new tires (not bad for tread life on THIS car). They do not move water out of the way to good, but my car is NEVER in the rain now (Thanks to me buying the wife a 2000 Durango for her Xmas present)

All in All a good tire, but I am going to BF Goodrichs

Good idea. I have BFG's on all corners of my iroc. They are great all around traction and take alot of abuse. I spin the tires almost once a night till i see smoke and they still have great tread after about 6 months. I belive they are a bit more expensive than those kuhmos but well worth it. If you dont like BFG try the nitto 555r's.

I've got a set of 22" Kumho's on my truck. They've been very noisy since they were brand new. No wet traction at all and very very heavy which makes the axles seem outta control over bigger bumps. I wouldn't get another set. These do seem to last a long time though. Look into BFG or a new tire called Fuzion which is basically a high end Bridgestone relabeled as a cheaper tire. They are making them to specifically compete with the Kumhos and Sumitomo Tuner tires. They do come in that size.
