Just curious
Just curious
How many here actually claim to have have beat a 5.0,4.6 or better stang?
If so what do you run for a motor? I have bested a few but it has taken alot more then the sticker price of a car to do so.
I read a claim here by a few owners running 305's and 5 spds stating they beat the 5.0.
I clearly remember my 3rd generation with a 350 needing spray to do so, so what gives lies or truth? Matter of fact I can say I beat a stock 5.0 cougar sme year 88 but hell they are just as heavy. Now in the turns you know who had the advantage.
As for the ricer racers hey more power to you hell 8 beats 4 any day.
I mean true american muscle here. Found on the road dead versus Chevy.

Re: Just curious
5.0 stangs really arent much to brag about. When my car was stock it was no problem (of course I have an lt1). The 5.0 stock is kind of a turd until u start to throw some money at it. I would think it could be possible to beat one in a 305 if it was running good. The 4.6 is a whole nothing story stock for stock. An lt1 running against a 4.6 is really a drivers race in most situations.
