Junkyard Crawl
Hey guys, on saturday I was blessed enough to have the time to go to my local U-Pull junkyard and I found about 10 3rd Gen F-Bodys. However 7 of them were 2.8Ls 2 had nothing in them....but one...was a Formula Firebird. My question is, what did the 1990 Pontiac Formula come with? Was it the 305 or the 350? HO? If anyone could help me it would be appreciated. I may be going down with my cherry picker.
They offered both a 5.0 and 5.7 in the 1990 Formula: http://www.thirdgen.org/1990-pontiac-firebird
FYI, every vehicle sold in the US in the last 30+ years has an emissions/tune-up sticker under the hood that states the displacement of the factory engine. it wont specify between different versions of the same cid, though. but if you read up on the 3rd gen RPO codes, and find that sticker, you can get all the information you need.

It may be just the t-tops cars, they had a little less structural integrity versus the hardtops. The guy I bought my third gen from had two of his own, two t-tops cars with the 305TPI motors and no motor modifications. The rooftops on both of his cars were pretty severly cracked where my hardtop with 100K on the odometer had none.
