every time i start my car a red light blinks "INFL REST" for a few seconds and turns off.
Is this normal??

 

I don't know about blinking but mine comes on for a couple seconds then goes off.

What the actual INFL REST means? Inflation Restraint. If it stays on then that means your airbag isn't working.

oh, the light blinks, I don't even think my car has airbags, would it say it on the wheel? and i don't see any sensors on the front of the car.

 

It wouldn't say it on the wheel. What year is your car I'm pretty sure they came standard like 1990+. If you're wheel looks like a 4th gen wheel then you got one. And I think you only get the light if you have one.

 

yea, its the airbag style wheel, but maybe the car had an accident and already blew the airbags, i don't see the sensors for them on the front?? do you have 2 sensors on the front of the car? I want a new steering wheel and I'm not sure if anything is going to shoot out at me?

Not sure about the sensors, I'll check tomorrow. As for a new wheel, the light will stay on. It did when I got my wheel, I had to take the bulb out. Later

Ya mine blinks a few times after the car is started and goes off.. although... sometimes it stays on.. but if i turn the car off... and re start it... it goes away... i dunno ... i hate airbags.. i hope mine never deploys.. they scare me.. if the seat belt doesnt save me.. then it wasnt meant to be.
