Lightbulb Improve handling?

What can I do to improve the handling ability of my Camaro? I prefer something thats easy to do since I don't have the greatest amount of time on my hands. I don't know much about suspension so this is why I am asking this question. Thanks.

IROC sway bars even springs
replace shocks and struts if they are old and you will feel the difference
better/wider tires

sticky tires will make a HUGE diffrence, no matter how strong your suspension is , it is only as good as the tires.

after that springs/shocks/struts. .

I do have what you would call a soft tire on my camaro which seemed to help a bit. My shocks/struts are quite new, only a few thousand on them. I'll guess I will have to research them sway bars then. Any other suggestions are welcome! Thanks guys.

Control arms... both the back and the front ones are flexable... Especially side to side... Panhard bar too.. Most of it is a couple bolts but when you redo suspension you usually replace everything you can.... if you have the money

springs, shocks, wonderbar (do a search for this part... came on the IROC's and can be had for around $20 at a junk yard!), polyurethane bushings kit (get a master kit since your bushigns are probably really old), front master rebuild kit from pst or spohn.net to make the car ride like a 2003 car again.

that should keep you busy... after that you can do:

strut tower brace, rear lower control arms with relocation brackets and subframe connectors.

I'd start with Eibach "Pro-line"lowering springs, then Bilstien shock&struts, and then some 17"wheels with low profile tires, like 275/40/17's.

I'd start with a wonderbar, subframe connectors and a strut tower brace. Everything else comes after them

Start with subframe connectors. There's no point in stiffening the suspension if the body is just gonna twist around. Then get LCA's and a panhard rod. That'll firm the rear up a LOT and then if you have cash left go for swaybars, wonderbar, and a strut tower brace. Most of the suspension stuff that you get will come with new bushings anyway, so there's not much point in getting a complete bushing kit.

Where can I find a wonderbar? I've looked on quite a few sites. I noticed the Spohn SFCs are a "weld in system", might have to find someone to weld I'm guessing. I could only find strut tower braces for 85+ cars, will it not work on my car?

All IROC's from 1985-1989 were equipped with them. Some people say their 91-92 cars came with them, and others day their's didn't. Some also claim they came on the WS6 cars. But regardless, the IROC is the sure bet. I bought mine at a local junkyard for $5. Most junkyard pickers don't realize what it is and leave it there. Don't pay over $20 like some morons do. And the wonderbar won't make that much of a difference. After SFC's, get some better tires and larger sway bars - 36mm front and 24mm rear if you can find them. The sway bars will make a much more noticable difference than springs and shocks combined. They also cost a lot less and can be swapped in under an hour. The same can definately NOT be said about springs and shocks.

I's start with the bushings first. Maximize the effectiveness of your existing equipment. THEN go from there if you find yourself craving 'more' (and you will)
