Only rear gear for LG4 equipped, automatic transmission 85 Z28 was 3.08. Expect mid 16s decently tuned in stock form. But if you can light em up like you say, you might have a little something done to it
My car is a 5sp, which means it has a 3:23 out back.. not sure if it is posi or not, as it lights both tires up sometimes, but again sometimes it will light only one up. And my dad owned the car before me.. don't believe ANYTHING was done to it though. But it will deff. snap your neck.

I love my Candian Z28, No computer. As for power the LG4`s haul some *** I beat a 84-85 5.0L noch back Mustang with my Z28, we where both 5 spd cars and I put about 2 cars on him and then shut it down. I don`t know if you saw them but I have some burn out pics I did with my Z28 there really cool. as of now I`m putting modded 305 heads w/ 1.94" intake valves, Perfomer EGR intake, Crane 272 H10 cam and a Holley 600 carb. Man I`m gonna give a 5.0L a BIG surprize this summer . I`m hoping to run with the LT1`s I hope. Then summer of 05, Can we say 450hp 383ci oh yes I got the bottem end. Man it`s gonna FLY

I thought that the fox-bodies were "so much faster" than our 3-gens?

The burn out pics are in my sig click on the link and it should say burn out at the top of the page with all the other links

No there not, SOOOO many people will tell you that but truth is if you put a 4bbl stang against a 4bbl Z28 the Zed will probly win and the 87+ L98 350 TPI will kill a 5.0L GT-LX-Cobra. My old french teacher still has his old late 80`s 5.0L Cobra, man I would LOVE to pull up beside him one day

The truth is quite the opposite my friend. Maybe in Canada things are different with the deletion of the restrictive computer controls on the QJets. But here in America a mid 80s Fox with the Holley will usually outrun the LG4 cars. An L69 should have no trouble however.

The MAF equipped 350 cars are a good match for the later manual trans FI 5.0s. The 91-92 speed density 350s however do have the edge over even the best of the 5.0s.

And a true Fox Cobra, 93 being the only year, will absolutely murder you. No question! They are easy high 13 second cars, and are way out of your league

Well I know I beat a early to mid 80`s trunk style 5.0L 5spd from a roll, I`m not saying I killed him I barly put 2 cars on him it was a VERY close race I think it came down to the driver, by the time we hit 4th I started to pull on him. When I was a kid I rember seein a 3rd gen Z28 runnin a 5.0L and all I know the Z28 put buses on that 5.0,that was years ago. Maybe your right about the computers since mine don`t have one??, Oh and I also kepted up to a 87+ 5.0L FI 5spd but we had to back off before we got into traffic and I couldn`t hit it hard since my frame was brokin at the time and about my teachers 5.0L Cobra all I know it`s a factory Cobra and it says Cobra on the bumper, by the time I`m done rebuilding my 305 I think I`ll take him when I`m done I`m hopin to run with the LT1`s .

Yeah, it was a 302. It had a better cam, better intake, and better gearing among other things. I'm not sure if they had the standard E7TE heads or if they had the GT40 heads - I'm sure someone will clue us in... They run really well

The only year for the Fox platform Cobra was 1993. They are easily distinguished by the wheels, rear wing, and unique colors among a few other things.

The 5.0 Cobra continued through 95, but the 94-95 Cobra's did not perform as well due to the extra weight of the new SN95 platform and restricted intake manifold.

the SN95 platform is the body stype for the 94-98? mustangs, there larger than the fox bodys. the only SN95 Cobras with the 5.0 were the 94 and 95 models. After that they switched over to the 4.6l DOHC
