Question ignition boxes

what are you guys using?
any body using the MSD 6+
or the malloryIV.
am pretty sure i am going with the msd but i read about the mallory and now am stumped

depends on what your running.

i had the dig 6 but i was running N2O.

for stock performance there is no point. especially since they aren't cheap.

why do you think you need one?

i have a 383 with 10/1 and am eventually going to run a fogger

MSD is certainly a known quantity- I have used them several times. My brother tried out a Holley Annihilator system on his GTA and absolutely loves it. Dirt-simple controls for setting rev limits and such. That's my only expereince with Holley systems, however.

Whatever you choose you might as well buy a system that has a nitrous retard already built into it since you will be using nitrous later. Buying it built-in is always cheaper than adding the nitrous retard module later.

I used MSD and didn't find any gain. Sold it and tried the Accel 300+ ignition that my buddy found would smooth out the idle. Wasn't that impressed with it. When the engine came out, didn't bother to hook it back on. AFAIK, it is sitting in my cupboard.

Why do you feel you need one?
