I hate to ask this kind of question.... but
How much do you think I could get for my Camaro?
I know I bitch about it alot, but it is a good car, that freakin carb is whats messing it all up (I just can't afford to fix the carb right now)
Everything else on it is in good shape, new alt, radiator, starter, doors don't sag, hatch works great, no electric problems, chassis is straight and beyond the paint being flaky, the whole outside is good also.
I am moving on the 1st, and I can't take the car if it doesn't drive (moving from a house to an apartment, and they have a rule that all cars parked must beable to start and 'go') I was hoping I could get that damned carb working, but fate is cruel like that, everything is PERFECT minus that stupid carb (given, not everything on it is perfect, but it is a great car)
But how much do you all think I could get for it, I'm not going to post it on ebay or on this board, noone will buy it on this board (unless I get you guys REALLY drunk then ask
), and on ebay it will probably only sell for 600 bucks (as even the best camaros sell for only 3 grand on ebay.. if their lucky)
I'm also thinking of parting it out since it has alot of good parts, I dunno, I've never sold a car let alone butchered it for money, it would be hard to rip up almost 2 years work for a few bucks
I hate seeing project cars go unfinished, but sometimes you just need to let it go, and if it comes back, that means it runs.... and you can keep it

Since everyone else is too lazy to respond... ill try my best to help ya! I know what ya mean "hate to see it go, but sometimes ya have to!"... as much as it sux! But.. if the carb screwwin up is tha only problem, then i would be willing to bet ya could get $2500, maybe more for it. Miles are a lil high though, but as long as its runnin good... who cares?
Matt
ps... DONT BUTCHER THE DAMNED THING IF IT IS RUNNING JUST FINE! SELL IT!!

well, if you part it out I can guarantee ya that it wont be moving anywhere anytime soon...so that wouldn't solve yer problem.
If you look in the paper, there are folks selling carbs all the time. It would be very cheap to fix it, you just need the time (which you don't seem to have).
Sell it. I'll give you $50 right now!
