Hypothetically......

Lets say that you have a mint condtion thirdgen 1991 model, with a perfect body... paint is okay, and the engine inside the car stock was a 3.1 v6, and you take out the v6 and you put in a fully blueprinted 355 v8, with 420rwhp. and you invest about $12k into just the engine it self..... how would you go about selling this or how much could you expect to get out of it? I don't want to sell her but i don't have the time or the money to continue with her. The Rear isn't stock.

First off, you got ripped off if you are only putting down 420 rwhp for 12 G's. But to answer your question, I would definatly part all the performance stuff out, including pulling the engine and parting it for the rotating assembly, heads, intake , and all that junk. There are always lots of people looking for parts of an engine, but if you were to throw a 12 thousand dollar engine on ebay for example you would be lucky to get bids over 4500 bucks. I don't think I will ever sell my car, but if I did I wouldn't even think about selling it whole. If you wanted to sell your car as is I think you would be quite dispapointed at what you will get for it, just go to the for sale section and check out a guy there's nine second thirdgen, he is having huge trouble selling it, even though it is worth every penny.

Cool hmmmm

the engine isn't at it's potential yet, however i think your right, although i think that people would be more willing to buy the car for the price if they can see it up close and personal.
