hp rating

my friend built a 383 and now he thinks its a 400hp rocket

383
10.5 to 1
stock set of 2.02 heads
460 lift cam
750 holley dp
DUAL plane manifold
hei


what do u think hes making hp to the flywheel and to the rear wheels

300 to 330 hp. It will NEVER make 400 hp on stock heads or with such a mild cam.

Ya never know. Some of those street stock guys can be decieving haha

Odds are it can be making some serious torque and with the right drivetrain setup it could move well. I won't guess though, sorry.

Stop asking people to guess aboput HP/TQ numbers and just have the car Dyno'd. Note! guess estimates are never right.

Well I like to read 20 questions about what there guess is. Also tell your friend a Dyno run is the only accurate method. But maybe you only like guess estimate on a make belive motor.

the kid is claming that he has DZ 302 heads and the intake runner is 210CC

I'm not that familiar with the DZ302 heads, but a typical 210cc head should be easily capable of supporting 400hp.


Not with that dinky cam though.

The heads dont look like a 210cc intake runner they runner where realy small
