how rare is my car?

I just bought a camaro and im having trouble finding production numbers that include the option packages. The car is a 1990 5.7L with 4 wheel disc brakes. How rare is this car?

well, i don't think they made disc brakes for the front, so it had to of been added after, also if that 5.7 is original, it must be an iroc, Prod. # - Camaro IROC-Z 5507

Not rare at all, 350 engine required rpo J65 rear disc brakes. The front disc brakes are standard.

1990 was a limited production year because Chevy had lost its IROC endorsement to Dodge in the middle of the year and had to halt IROC production. You have a rare car with the sought after 5.7.... You should poke around over at www.thirdgen.org and see if you can get some solid numbers over there.

Your car, if in good unmodified condition with low miles is worth some money and worth keeping. It will only go up in value as long as it stays original.

90's own. Nice find man. IROC5.7 pretty much summed it up the best.

Got any pics yet? How many miles? Tell us

While it may be rare as a car, its a damn shame that many of the rare 3rd gen Firebirds and Camaros are worth no more than any other cars, becuase people will simply pass on a more expensive rare car and find a cheaper common car. Maybe in another 15 years some of these cars will worth some actual cash for being rare.

lol its not that colour anymore. The factory paint job was white but the previous owner changed it to silver because the white was too hard to maintain. Who knows maybe one day ill put it back to its factory colour.

See the problem is really whats the difference between an iroc and a z28 or an rs. Do some badge work put on bigger tires and better suspension you basically have made an iroc. The other thing is you have to look at whos buying them. The majority of people who are getting them are in their late teens early 20's and really arent looking for a collector car.

Go down to your local book store & get the camaro White book it will give you most of the opts. for all camaros up to 98 I think.

What you really want is a 90 RS V8 vert only 729 were made for that year. Whats even rarer is the Bose sound system with the Clock & CD changer for that year. sounds like only 3 were made (either that or its a miss print)

Really?????? Hum then I must be totally odd since I am almost 30 & have 2 third gens & one of them is going back totally stock since its a Pace car & the other is the first year of the 350 in the car & I yell at my old man when he talks about changing most of the body work to it.

I know lots of Camaro People that are in the early 30s to Late 70s that are buying the 3rd gen camaros & restoring them back to Or close to Org as they can get.

Its either that or they are using them as Dragcars because you can do so much to the the cars & get them down well in the 10s.
