Post how many interested in ram air hood

I am just wandering how many people want 98+ style ram air hoods for 3rd gens. I have been trying to talk a friend of mine into making them. He already does awesome work on fenders, doors, and hoods for guys at the track but he says it seems like he wouldn't get enough use out of the molds. If I talk him into it they will be posted here most definitely. I just think paying over $700 after shipping and grills is way to much. I am hoping for $550 shipped if this helps with any feedback.

Thanks
Brett

It will probably be close. I haven't seen any of those up close. It will be made from a 98 trans am a friend of mine has then made to fit and look right on the 3rd gens. I believe that is exactly how other companies have made theres so it should be the same or very near it. I don't think buying one of theres and copying it is exactly legal so we will just design it as close as they did.

My brother plans to put a hood like that on his 87 GTA. The style is exactly as you describe- a knock-off of the 4th gen ram air T/A hood. Very few generation-swaps look good, in my opinion, but this is one of the few that really looks exceptionally good in pictures and even better in person. It might look goofy on a 3rd Gen Camaro, though. On a 3rd gen Firebird it looks awesome.

But why build or try to sell something that's already out on the market? What's the incentive to buy something other than what's already out there?

so your saying that only one company should make a certain product. why should we, as the customer, be limited to one particular brand of product.
