Have a 90 RS with the factory 5 spoke mags. A couple years back I wanted to repaint the center caps and surround along with the lugnut covers black again, as they were from the factory, because they had began to chip/fade. I couldn't get the center caps off then, so I was forced to do things the hardway, by taking the wheels off and spending literally 3 hours per wheel masking them off to be perfect.

Well, now the paint on the center caps is beginning to come off again, but only on the center caps so I only want to paint those. Is there a way to take those off seperate from the wheel? I ask because they appear to be a seperate piece that should be removeable, but I can't get them to spin off or snap off like I suspected...

How do I get just the center caps off?

 

If there like my Z28 caps they just pop off, grab them and pull real hard or use a soft face hammer and tap them off
