how to change motor mounts on a 3rd gen?

I have the motor out of the car so i was going to change the motor mounts. My problem is how to get to the nuts underneath to stop them from turning. Do you have to remove the lower control arms to get to them or is their another way?

I forget how I did mine but don't take the lower control arms off.
I did that on the passenger side because that was the hardest to get to and the spring was very hard to get back in and it does not need to come off.
I used short 1/4 inch drives sockets with a swivel and maybe a Crows Foot.

A friend of mine did mine. I didn't see how. I believe it was magic. It looks impossible. Id bet he used box end wrenches underneath and my impact from above. Goodluck!

yup, get it up on stands, yank the front wheels, get a knuckle and long extension, and a buddy in the eng bay. you can reach thru the coil and access the nutz but have something to hold them in the socket when your going back together with everything and tape the knuckle so it stays put.

I didn't think it was that bad, just used a socket and a couple of combination wrenches. Replaced the 84's with sold mounts.
