here's some actual dyno off mike davis' car
thats where i got the dyno graph i have from... i emailed him a question asking where he stands on the subject of the hsr and the mr, which one he thought was better... this is what i got

"For all-out-performance, the MR would be the better choice. If you are going for a large-cube motor later and get better heads to feed the cubes, you'll want to port the intake to match the heads and again, the MR would be the better choice. The HSR has a better power curve between 3000-6000 rpms, but the MR shines if your cam, etc, is more in the 4000-7000 rpm band.

The HSR is still a very good intake for a 350,383, or moderate 406, and has the best bang-for-the-buck, but it can't match the MR for all-out performance, nor match it's all-out price.. "

The test isn't as simple as that. That's my MiniRam in those tests ... I lent it to Mike for some testing since I had it off my car at the time. The HSR run was tuned pretty well with a wideband. The MR wasn't. Besides the heads ... the HSR setup had a better valvetrain for higher RPM stuff. That's just the first things that pop into mind. However, keep poking around on his site as there should be some really good stuff popping up relatively soon That's all I can say for now
