Find out if your not getting spark or fuel.

for spark a quick was you can check, pull a plug wire of a spark plug and stick a scewdriver in the wire where the plug was, and hold the metal part of the screwdriver close but not touching something grounded (metal). start the car and see if a spark jumps from the screwdriver. (or get your budy to hold the end of the wire for a second and sneek around and start the car)

for fuel you need a fuel test gauge, or if its TBI take the air fillter and look and see if fuel is spraying out the bottom of the injector

would that still cause it to have no spark?

Nope, no spark, and when my brother cranks it, there is no fuel being dumped down the shoots. Radio and other electrical seem to work just fine. It was running fine the other day, and when I was about to leave for school, all it would do is crank over. It wouldn't catch... I checked the fuse near the coolant- in front of the engine, I also checked the injector fuses and ECM fuse under the dash- ALL looked okay. I'm stumped

there's only one.

Stupid question but's its got gas in the tank right

just shooting in the dark, do you still have your old chip. you could try putting that back in. I'm just tring to think of what would take out you spark and fuel at the same time.

Possible could be pick up inside distutor that cause no spark and no fuel. 1. turn ignition on and check if check engine light is on.. if its on computer could be good and doesnt need to be changed. Number 2 i would get a test light and i would remove the injector off and stick a pin and make a lube on the injector with test light and have someone crank the engine ansd see if theres a power coming into the injector. If theres no power possible computer. If there is a power into the injector no spark and no fuel change the pickup inside the distributor. Note: dont forget to check the fuses by a test light!
