Hi,
I have a few questions for a 1990 camaro 350 tpi.
it is an automatic and i want to put a manual trans in. would I have to do anything to the ECM to adapt the manual? what manual trans would you recommend for a street/strip car?
also what kind of rear end would be good for street/strip? Also would 24lb injectors be a good size?
thanks for reading and I would appreciate any help at all. I am just trying to make my car a little faster and stronger for the strip.

not sure about the tranny, but 350 tpis' stock with 24lb injectors

 

22lbs are stock for 350's and if you want to go with a manual, the ecm will not be effected (4l60e is the electronic auto). DO NOT PUT THE 5 SPD BEHIND THE 350...go with the tremec six speed and add some 4.11s....GAWD what a dream!!!! Hook off the line and an extra gear to compensate for gearing.

I did this in my IROC and put a Tremec TKO 5 speed in mine. Worked like a charm!!! The only connection you have hanging off is the TCC conector, and you dont have to worry about it. Besides that the only other mod I made was a stick chip from GM. Good luck, its easy and worth it!
