Hedman Headers question

Will Hedman headers p/n 69090 work with my Camaro? These are mid-tube, correct? I am looking for some nice bottom end torque, and have been told that these are GREAT for my app.

The seller says they are good for :Chevrolet/GMC: 283-400, so I assume they will be fine.

Thanx all,
Matt

if its for an 85 camaro, then no. These headers are longtube truck headers, for 67-87 chevy/GMC trucks and 67-91 full size Jimmys and blazers. If you need more info just go to summit racing and type in HED-69090 in the part number search box. That should tell you everything you want to know. -Gene.

"Dual exhaust only, limited ground clearance" is what that says in more information... does that mean I can't run a Y-pipe into the rest of my catback? Manny, did you just have a custom y made? I gotta write this **** down. I've asked these same questions at least a dozen times now.

I am going to be running dual exhaust on my setup and I am not lowered that much anymore. I put the Sportlines on the Formula and put some other springs on the Trans Am.

I'm still trying to debate what to do...I don't plan to lower my car, ever. But I don't want to run duals... my goal was just headers, decent-sized y pipe, cutout, catback.

Maybe hedman shorty headers and hedman y-pipe would be the way to go for me?

I went with the Hedman shorties and a custom fabbed Y-pipe on my 355, and I've been VERY happy with the setup. I didn't lose any ground clearance at all (even with 3" plumbing) and the sound is just evil (80 series single/single and no cat.)

If you are looking for the easiest way to gain a few horsepower, put those shorties on and buy the y-pipe that goes with them. It should bolt right up, and you wont have any ground clearance problems.

If you go with the long tubes, be prepared to spend a little more time making them fit. You will also have to fab duals and get a heated oxygen sensor.

I love my lt's, and duals, it makes quite a bit of difference in sound and power.

Those G-body Hedmans will fit a 2nd gen F-body, but not a 3rd gen (at least not without some persuasion.)

Knight: I do but I rarely use it. If you ever see me (ThGreatJ) on feel free to shoot me a line.

I dont want to mess w/ LT's I guess.. just more problems.

BUT.. if anyone wants those headers w/ the p/n I stated.. then go here.. you have 1-hour left.
Going for $49.00

Good luck all, and thanx!
