Question heater core/ a/c delete firewall question

I have a junk 85 Z28 that I'm taking the rear end out of along with some other stuff and I was wondering if I could swap over the a/c delete firewall from the other one into my black car?

the black 85 originally had a/c but I pulled it and now I want to get rid of that annoying hump that keeps me from my #8 cylinder so well Is the heater core mounted differently in a/c cars than non-a/c cars?

The firewall itself is no different, and the heater core is mounted on the cabin side of it, so if the blower fan housing from the non-A/C car provides more clearance, jump on it! It should bolt right in.

BTW a couple of the mounting bolts go from the cabin side through the firewall and screw into the housing...make sure you take them out or you'll end up breaking stuff.

Thumbs up

Yeah...it bolts right in, and looks NICE. I dumped my A/C stuff and have a delete box. Makes the engine compartment look a lot cleaner.
