Headers/emissions

This is my first try a opening a thread. Here it goes.I want someone to recommend headers that I can find used on ebay or somewhere like that.I have seen headers with o2 plugs installed and some with tubes coming out of the top of them.I have no idea what i have to have.On my last inspection the shop gave me a sticker and the cat is cut out of my car.next I have a Lt1 cam coming to me i bought on ebay.Sitting bull recomeended this to me but now Im reading post telling me its too much cam for stock intake and heads.Last but not least my fuel pump is out for the third time.I thinking of going back with factory pump,What do you think.Im going to do all this at the same time.

Those "tubes" are the AIR tubes. If you have AIR then you need headers with AIR. If you have O2, then you need O2. Pop your hood and take a look. It's all on your exhaust manifold.

So, you have O2 and AIR. You can do away with AIR if you don't need emissions testing in that fashion. If you get rid of cats, get rid of AIR.

Sure they can. My exhaust guy charged me $10 to put an O2 bung in my heddman shorties when he did the rest of the exhaust, and that includes paying for the bung.

just to let you know if you ditch the AIR you will have a real tough time passing any emissions tests

check out a set of edelbrock tes headers . they have the air setup which you need to pass emissions . i believe slp has a set out as well .

they arent the cheapest , but surprisingly enough those air tubes cost alot
