Header intallation

Anyone know how to make putting headers on an easier job? Any little hints that will make it go smoother?

Re: Header intallation

I've already enlisted the help of some of my goodwrench friends. Adam do you think on those headers it would be better to try to weld on a new flange or just weld it straight to the y pipe?

I'd weld it to the y pipe, then you wont have to worry about any leaks..

Re: Header intallation

You may have to undo the motor mounts and jack the motor up to get the drivers side in, passenger side slid right in, at least that was the case with the headers in my 88. bolts with the allen centers and a swivel allen socket make snugging the bolts up easier.
