has anyone used these roller rockers?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33624

thats the exact address. they are on ebay (obviously) but i was wondering if anyone has used them, uses them,or has any good/bad info on them. they are damn cheap and that kinda scares me. my dad put the same brand on his big block chevelle but its still under construction and hasnt seen anything over 3500 RPM's yet. they sound like they would be okay, but i havent really heard of this brand alot (if at all actually) and i dont want my motor to see 5500-6000 and all of a sudden 1 of these things break, and my valve train is SCREWED and ill be pissed b/c of the "no name" brand.

any info is aprreciated guys, thanks in advance

The reason they're cheap is because they aren't roller rockers. They're roller TIP rockers. There's a big difference.

A true roller rocker has a needle bearing assembly at the pivot where it goes on the stud, and a roller at the tip where it contacts the valve. Roller tip rockers only have the roller on the tip, and use a conventional ball pivot at the stud. True roller rockers free up more power than roller tip rockers, but are also harder to manufacture and consequently more expensive.

go to www.summitracing.com and run a couple searches. Part #CRN-11759-16 is a set of true roller rockers. Part #SUM-141507 is a set of roller tip rockers.

thegreatj is right there only roller tips and you can pick them up in jegs for $112 a set for ones made by comp cams. or the cheaper no name ones like i believe those are for $104 a set. you wont see any significant change in the way your engine runs with those style because there just as heavy if not heavier then stamped steel rockers. the only benefit would probably be not wearing your valve stem down as fast and a little less friction. ive been thinking about buying a set of full rollers from jegs but im not to sure how good they are or anything and dont know anyone thats run them. there $147 a set and the part # is 778-66907 check them out at www.jegs.com and if anyones used them id like to know if there any good. and if anyones used the proform electric water pump if thats any good. it just seems kinda cheap at like $150 for an electric waterpump.

i think youd need to get the ones specially made for centerbolt valve covers. i dont like messing with them heads so i really couldnt tell you much about them.

You need "narrow body" rockers if you want to keep the stock centerbolt covers. The normal width rockers won't clear the webbing for the bolts.
