A 6" cowl hood is excessive for a street car. I have a 6" cowl AND the top of an aeroscoop grafted on top of it to cover my tunnel ram carbs and air filters. It's a track only car and driving through the pits is hard since I can't see anything at the right front of the car.

This is sitting in the seat before the aeroscoop was installed. Stretching your neck, you can look over the scoop but in no way is it street legal. A 2-4" is all you want to go.

I have a 4in, it looks mean but occasionally its a pain in the *** because it blocks out the passenger side of the car. 4in is the legal limit in PA, thats where im from.

I've got a 4" Harwwod in the basement waiting to go on my '90 IROC...after I finish building the motor...doesn't look as tall as I expected.
