Independant rears since the 60's? No ****.. I dint think IRS was even 'invented' then.. lol..
So "Dana" is a brand or what?
And what is this I hear of a Torsen T2R rear-end.. Good brand.. Good rearend.. 100-bucks a good price.. heard that's about how much they cost?

Most solid axle geometries work better for straight line traction. This is why 800hp Supras still only run 11s.
Some IRS suspensions work better than others though. Corvette owners tend not to have any kind of traction issues until they are running down in the 9s or faster.

I can vouch for C5s not having traction issues. When I bought the car I wondered if it would have problems, but the car did fine. Granted, mine was only a 13.0 car. But I know guys that run 12s, 11s, and a few 10 sec cars and no problems.
What'll really bend your brain is that the C5s actually use a leaf spring suspension in the rear.
