The new engine (which is close to being done) is estimated to be 460 to 480 horsepower at the crank, and just as many foot-pounds of torque. I don't know what it'll do to my Torsen & Moser equipped 10 bolt. I probably shouldn't try runnng any slicks at the strip though, until the new axle is installed in a few years. I'm thinking the car will E/T in the high 11's at 120 MPH on drag radials.

Once I can save for a 12-bolt though, I might try those Nitrous spraybars that are already mounted in the intake! The shortblock is built strong enough for 700 HP and the pistons / combustion chambers/valves are all ceramic thermal barrier coated.

I doubt my little 7.5 inch Richmond gearset was designed for that kind of abuse.

You would be suprised of how much abuse that litle ole 7.5 10 bolt can take ! I have a friend here that has a 85 monte with 383 stroker in and is pushing 710 hp and 650 rwtq on a factory 7.5 !!! I am amazed that it has not broken yet......This car has dual stage nitrous (250 shot) and a t-56 in it also
