I am going crazy trying to find the block number on my 90 camaro, the car had an engine swap and I need to find the block number, any thoughts would be great!

check these areas. v-6 vins 82-83 are stamped at the top center of the eng block behine the water pump, 84-88 is stamped on the left side trans mount flange, v-8 front of the engine block right below right cylinder head. try those locations and see if you can find it.

 

For a V-8 look in frontof the passenger head. It will probably be covered in grease and be hard to read. Will be a mixture of letters and numbers. All you eally need is the Engine Suffix. The last 3 letters of that code that is. Get those 3 letters and you can easily tell what the motor is.
