Getting more power out of a tbi 350

I've got a 1989 Suburban that I just bought. Its got a 350 with TBI. Its painstakingly slow. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be that slow but is there anything I can do to make the truck more powerful. What are some of the mods that TBI guys do? Any Camaro parts that I can transfer to the truck?

Any suggestions for cheap mods would be great. Thanks.

MSD ignition, a tune up including new spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, cold air intake setup, single 3" exhaust with a lighter muffler.

Unfortubatly, to make any noticable power you're pretty much going to need to do heads/cam/tune. It's a heavy truck, a few more hp isn't going to make a big difference.
