About 2500 rpm at 80 mph with 3.42s.

are you looking for quarter mile gears, or gas mileage gears?

Only gear ratios available for BW 9-bolt rear axle are:
2:77 2 series carrier
3:27 3 " "
3:45 3 " "
3:73 3 " "
Also these parts are very expensive. So it makes no difference what other people are running if they are 10-bolt axles.

Damn,I forgot about the 9 bolt being in 3rd gens.I just read a post on here somewhere about a guy who just replaced the gears in his 9 bolt with 3.73's and I think he said he paid like $310 for the ring and pinion.

3.23's before the tear down, 1750@60.
I personally don't do a lot of interstate driving in my Roc but my 3.73's should add about 600-800rpm over my current 60mph cruise in O/D.
The best "compromise would probably be 3.42's(as close to a 3.50 ratio as possible), but I want stronger 1/4 mile acceleration and maybe later add 28" tires to the rear.
