Gauges

Hey guys. My friend is buying an '83 Z28. One of the things on his list of mods are some new gauges. Will the later gauges (without the extra needle found on the earlier third gens) be an easy swap? I know the 1990+ will not work, but I was wondering if the other round style gauges would be an easy swap? If not...what kind of gauges (mechanical/electrical/mechanical with remote mount) would he have to buy from say Autometer? Thanks.

If I was going to change gauges I would def. go aftermarket, They read so much better.

Autometer would be great, if he has the money.

Check out summit and see what he likes.
