Mine's the same way, but it starts reading closer to 3/4. It's probably something to do with the sender design, and I personally don't think it's worth messing with. I figure if you have more than half a tank it's not really important anyway....just as long as you know when you're getting low.....

Gm cars are known to have alot of messed parts on them. One of them is the Gas Gage. But dont worry about it. If you got a trip Odom. us that & reset it after each fill up. Thats what I do. & I can pull out apox 320miles on a tank. Depends on if I am dragracing or not.

My guage bounces, but at a stop when it stops bouncing, it's usualy accurate (as far as I can tell any way) it does't stay at full for ever then drop down to empty, It consistantly goes down over time.

My MPH guage bounces a little as well, only when I'm over 60 tho.

haha! When I put my blinker on, I can see my Battery guage move up and down with the blink pulse as well! LOL! Anyone elses do that? A blinker can't take THAT much power

LOL my battery guage does the same thing. another thing it does is I am sitting at a light or something for a long time with the car running with even the stereo system on it will drop down to 8 or so. then after a longggggg time it will pop back up. or if I hit a bump. It feaks me out sometimes. because we had somemuch problems with this car already .

krazzycowgirl: I have recently had some electrical problems as well... it got so bad that nothing electric would work once I jumped the car, and I have an electric fan... But it turned out to be simple, just a few old wires that were falling apart. Now everything runs fine.

but I DO still have vacume lines that don't go anywhere under my hood... I wonder if I should cap them up?

Mine was with the Rad. & my coolent system. It kepts blowing on me. I still have a server heating problem & I have changed everything on the car that is dealing with it. Come to find out that the wires to the fans was cut & retaped So we fixed that but my car still over heats. or it did. We have the Fans running directly off the battery for now. I am hoping before the raceseason starts that we have a switch that I can turn on or off the fans depending on if I need them or not. Right now my car doesnt get warmed up past 100 Degrees.

My Camaro gets past 220 here in Phoenix, not sure if thats hot or not, my truck back home in Louisiana never got up to 190.

My car is a Frankenstein, it has 83 Capris brackets holding the powersteering pump and a few other accesories, not sure what my transmission is, I think it's a turbo 400, and lots of other stuff on my car is a mystery. It runs tho, for now anyway. I have lots of wires that need to be replaced, probably need to do something with the vacume lines, and I think I have an exhaust leak on my passenger header, I hope it's just the gasket and not the header! I did find out that I have Edelbrock headers, I found the logo on the passenger side.

At least she runs! And I have whipped up on my friends import, which probably doesn't say much, but it was fun

Anybody else got some odd parts/problems with their car?
