Fuel injector installation

I bought accel injectors for my car. I used the old retainer clips from another set of ford 30# injectors and used the retainer clips in the upper, full circumference slot because it said most gm applications will need this done. and plus the ford 30# looked like the accels and the retainers were up on the full circumference slot too of the fords. After mounting them to the fuel rail, they wiggle a good deal, is that ok or not?

Re: Fuel injector installation

When I put my Lucas in, they did the same thing. I had to put them in with the first slot so they didn't fully seat. I would say as long as they required a little pressure to push straight in, you should be alright. I have had no problems with mine being like that.

Re: Fuel injector installation

yea they wiggle, not a whole lot, but more then the factory 1's did. As you push them in I feel like they set, I feel that like "sucktion" feeling as you push the injector into the hole of the fuel rail. Then i went outside i just tighted it down to my intake a bit, and they dont wiggle nemore at all. So i guess there fine...

thanks i appreciate it

No problem. Just prime them and watch.
