Unhappy Fuel/ Engine light problem

Fellow Camaro lovers,

After a long trip on the Freeway, usually 20min into the trip on the freeway the engine light comes on. It goes off after the trip but usually just on the freeway. However, it never comes on when I'm on the street. There is also a fuel smell coming from the rear of my car. I'm not really sure how to go about determining the problem.

So far, I have but in an injector cleaning kit because I thought It was the injectors? I really don't think it's the injector but I havn't ruled it out yet.

Any Ideas or sugestions would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

dan

You might have an onboard diagostics system in your car. There is a plug under the dash on the drivers side. You have to connect 2 parts of the plug with a paper clip( sounds funny but its really how you have to do it). I am not sure what 2 parts you have to connect. I am sure you can find out on a website somehwere or someone else will tell you. when you do that , turn the key foward as much as you can without starting it. Then the engine will blink codes to yuo that you have to look up and it will hopefully tell you thr problem. You might wanna check this out, because it sounds like your problem.

yea,
then you should have onboard diagnostics, you could look on some sights to find out how to use it
