Free/Cheap mods for 87 TPI (Vette)

My sister just purchased an 87 vette and i want to help her out with some free mod's.

We already Cut the airbox open and i have a k&n filter waiting to be put in.

What else can we do? Descreen the maf??? I heard there are issues descreening the maf for the F-body TPI setup, but it is ok on the vette???? Airfoil???

What do you guy's suggest?

Thanks!

OH...

We already ran this at the track and it ran a 13.93@100. I heard that stock 87 vette's ran 14.7... I am not sure why there is such a difference, i havent had a chance to really see if any modifications were done to this car yet, but all does look stock?.. Maybe a chip?

Dam good time.... Not a G-tech or something, right?
manual or auto?
what was the 60ft time? 1.9 1.8? 2.0?

is it a corvette challenge car...? Those cars were blueprinted from the factory....pretty rare but I think 87 was the most productive year.

You can see corvette challege cars at Rogers Corvettes in Orlando...pretty bad *** TPI vehicles.

As far as i know, it is just a stock 87.

It was timed at the track... it may be chipped or something but i was told it is 100% stock.

It's a auto, and i think the 60' was a 2.1, maybe with some stickier tires we should be able to hit 1.9

a chip will help but make sure you up grade the water pump to a hiperformance one & the Thromostat as well.

Hypertech you can find them on ebay for cheap make sure you get the one for her engine & trans.

HEY Nice camaros!!!

Anyway...I would start with a off-road pipe and a good cat back..

you will pick up about .02th and sound KICk A**

and the minor intake mods....You should be 13.5 13.4 with a 2.0 ft that would be a fast L98

COOL!
