fouled plugs AGAIN
ok guys, a few months ago my cars plugs kept fouling out and my car started missing. So I spent damn near $400 having the best plugs and wires that money can buy put into it. and it ran badass for a while, but now its doing it again. any suggestions?
Take off the coil wire to the distributor and stick a spark plug in it. Do this at night. See what kind of flame you get. You are looking for a blue flame. It being an 86, I am not too sure that it is sealing well. Also do a compression test. You are looking at getting around 150 psi. If you do this, it is very important that the values are within 10% of each other.
By the way, when was the last time you changed your O2 sensor?

What kinds of plugs are you using? If your using anything bosch then that is your problem, I tried to run bosch 2 and 4's in my car ran like crap, went and bought Ac Delco spark plugs ran like a champ, I would say either use Ac Delco's or if your running nitrous or Supercharged, get some NGK's of semething, but I would do all of this after the compression check. Have you ever replaced your valve seals?
