Fixing rot on inside of door edges!

How do you go abot fixing some rot out holes on the inner lower edge of the door. You know what I mean, like if you open the door then look down at the right hand corner doors are good for rotting out there? Should I just replace the doors? Is there strips of new metal you can maybe buy and mig weld in place?

Re: Fixing rot on inside of door edges!

loosing battle, theres lower door patch panels you can buy which done right will look good and probably last the life of whats left in our cars but rust is cancer to a car, unless you get everybit out it will come back.
if its a prized car that you want to keep 2 options,1,look for a used rust free door.most places offer them ,get one from out west of course.i would patch your old door,it will cost more to fix then to get a clean door and repaint it.look around, you dont "need"a door so take your time.
2,you can still buy brand new gm door shells.start all over with a rust free brand new door....
