Post FIPK in a 3rd. gen T/A ?

I have a 87 T/A that i'm putting a LT1 in and want to use a KN FIPK.What has to be done besides relocating the battery

You might need to cut a hole in the battery tray for the filter. On the LT1 cars, there is already a hole in that area. I am not sure if the K&N FIPK goes into that hole but I do know the SLP one does.

I had to cut a hole with a sawzall in the driver side tray that holds the cruise and evap cannister. I have a Moroso CAI and it works great.
