Extend heater controls?

anyone know how i could extend my heater controls say 2 feet and have them work properly? i have the stock hvac unit in my 91z28 that originally had air. removed the air and only have heat now with the a/c delete box but i want to move the controls into the center console area.

anyone done this, have suggestions or ideas how to do this before i jump into it? the hoses look easily extendable but i'm not sure what to do with the hardline.

Sounds like a day trip to the auto wreckers to look for a suitable replacement, maybe from a truck. You could try the dealer and see if they have something longer. Most of them have the same ends,or can be retrofited to work, and some of the "OLD Hardware" stores used to carry the stuff to make new lines,or you may try to use the line from a manule choke assembly. Just a few ideas for you.

i appreciate all suggestions indeed, the hoses will be easy to extend, it's the hardwire that i'm curious as to where to go with. i'm looking to gain at least 2' but 3' would be ideal.

also anyone know if it would matter what angle the setup was on, for instance vertical.

I can't see any reason why you couldn't they are almost vertical in the car,the only thing you really have to concider is keeping the hard line as straight as possible, you could even mount it upsidedown on the roof if you wanted.
