Exhaust Question

I have full exhaust including a Flowmaster muffler, however, it looks like I have stock tips. I want to do nice chrome tips coming out the back. I want it to look like this. Anyone know where I can find some nice tips in that size (looks to be 3.5" by ? long maybe?) and also would you guys go to an exhaust shop to get them welded on? Thanks

Re: Exhaust Question

Those look like the same 3 inch taipipes that came with my american thunder cat back. You'll be able to get them wherever you can buy flowmaster. I think the part numbers are 26097 for passenger side and 26102 for driver side. I would just clamp them on them though.

Re: Exhaust Question

SLP also sells nice tips....they are 2.5" or 3" inlet and 3.5" outlet, double walled, and polished. I think they are about $60 each though.

Re: Exhaust Question

I have seen 3" slash cut chrome tips like that at Pep Boys. I'm not sure if that store is local to you. Also, most decent muffler shops have them on hand, too.

Also, I seriously suggest that you have them at least tack welded on, otherwise they will get loose and buzz up a storm, and possibly fall off if you drag them a few times over a sharp driveway exit.

Good luck

Re: Exhaust Question

Off the subject, but do you know who's cars those are in the picture?
I'm asking because I would swear that I saw that TA at my local dragstrip.
