Smile Exhaust

Hi there,

what difference between super turbo and ultra flo from dynomax ? Looking for a muffler which gives a back off throttle sound. I used to have a super turbo changed to a flowmaster, which is really loud. I would prefer a bit less but a deeper sound including back off throttle.

Thanx

Re: Exhaust

I can tell you the Ultraflow is a straight through design and will produce more power. The Turbo muffler is an older design and is not as effieceint as the Utraflow.

Re: Exhaust

Ultraflo is a straight through design and the super turbo is a chambered muffler. The ultraflo will sound like a magnaflow or glasspack whereas the other will sound more like any other turbo muffler. Also, the Ultraflo is a fully welded case and the super turbo is a crimped seam muffler.

Re: Exhaust

No idea what sound a glasspack or magnaflow gives ? Is it similar to a Flowmaster ? What would you recommend ? Any other muffler which is giving a deep sound with back off throttle sound too ?

Re: Exhaust

well on mine i have a Y pipe, with one branch open for street, cap it for emissions, the other end has a smooth tube glasspack to a chrome square tip. Now if you want something with a low bassy idle, where you can hear each cylinder fire, and something not obnoxiously loud....do that, has the muscle car growl at high rpms. Works lovely on that L98.
