that's the difference between tbi and tpi... big difference, my 305tpi had only headers and msd 6a and went 14.2s all day

 

hey fellas i saw this and had to jump in:my old 91 z had stock bottom end,cc306,ported vette heads 2.00 1.56,mini ram 30lb inj.58 mm tb,2800 stall needed more(3500) 3.73s,m&h racemasters ran 11.80-11.90,i had the typical mods like cai into the fender big k&n,pulleys,chip from perf.resources....all at sea level(HRP)...

I ran a 14.9 with stock 89 305 just changed from a tbi to a tpi every thing else is stock o sorry i did put 3.27 gears under it

 

I went 15.1@91 with a pretty bad 60' (2.1x) with 5speed 305 TBI 3.42gears, no mods other than headers, catback and computer tuning.

I'm now running a single plane intake, with an UltraDyne cam (206/216 .447 .447 112), that should be good for mid-low 14's. I've got 150 extra HP in a little blue bottle in back. Hopeing for a possible 12.99 run with that.

 

Well i dont know what this means but i beat an 85 IROC-z last night.

He set me out 1 and the smack. He would of set me out more but he didnt like the fact that i was running open headers. I did the biggest burn out and still spun all the way through 1st. i had about 4 cars on him by the time we crossed.

He doesnt have a slow car either he has the BF dragradials free mods, air foil, accel coil and some other small stuff. Nuthing to big but he has no weight reduction.

I Have my mods and no interior at all, seat, shifter and wheel.

Hes not a bad driver at all but we both spun and i managed to outrun him still.

He said he only spun midway through first but i didnt expect to beat him that bad.
