Where are you located, that might help us some.

Have you looked into GM Performance Parts crate engines?? They have many to choose from w/ all kinda of HP levels.

what are you looking for out of this engine? is it going to be a daily driver?

Are you looking to go FI or carb? Supercharger? Small block or big block?

I would also suggest taking a look at some crate engines, you can get just about any combination you are looking for.

I do not know of any engine builder but your local track might recommend someone.

I was going to have my motor modded but figured crate would be more reliable.

I bought the Scoggin Dickey Vortec TPI 360hp crate engine. My car is running mid 13's with major traction issues. Mid 12's are very possible. http://www.sdparts.com/product/SD360...ripEngine.aspx

If I had to do it all over again I would get the deluxe Vortec 330hp GMPP crate engine or the ZZ4 (355hp) and put a carb on it. http://www.sdparts.com/product/12496...eAssembly.aspx http://www.sdparts.com/product/24502...ateEngine.aspx

The TPI was difficult to get to work but we finally did it. Not worth the trouble if you ask me.

PM me if you have any questions.

I would rather plug in a laptop than get dirty and drenched in gasoline but everyone is different.

We definitely need to know where you are before we recommend someone. There arent a lot of thirdgen tuners left. Most that build SBC's are building race engines or carb engines. The others are building LS1's.
