Engine Stripped.....Injectors?

Alright, since the guy that did the 350 swap in my 305 TPI probably didnt do anything right. I have it stripped down. I am changing the cam to something a bit bigger but leaving everything else stock. I am putting in a Comp Cam 230deg duration with .480"/.480" int/exh. (CCA-12-212-2)

Question:
What kind and size injectors should I go with? Also what brand? I am thinking either the Ford 24lb injectors or the 30lb injectors. Is there anything better for about the same price?

I am also having a custom eprom made for the new specs of the car.

Am I overlooking anything? Let me hear some opinions. Thanks guys.

what kind of cam is that man?? thats almost stock lift lol. im not sure if they are on the 'net or not,but i think Comp makes special cams for TPI cars,u should call them up and ask them about it. if ur going to go through all the trouble to change a cam,do it w/ a cam thats going to do u some good, even down the road I would say.

of course the higher lift and duration cam u get,the higher RPM's its going to pull, and the JUNK TPI setup is going to be no good after 4500....MAYBE 5500-6000 if u port the hell out of it,throw big runners and a base on it.

hope that helps

The Ford 24pph ones will work. I am running them or at least will be running them till I try on a new cam with the HSR and 42 pph ones. If you can wait for a bit till I get the parts all together, I will be having them for sale.

PM me if you're interested.

The 305 19 lb. injectors will support your 350 fine with the cam you are going to use. 19 lb injectors will handle up to 350 hp without any problems. I used 19 lb inj for about 2 years and boosted the fuel pressure up to 51 psi and the fuel mixture was perfect using a TPI setup at the time. Went to 22 lb injectors and found no difference.....

I think its a bit bigger then stock. I dont want go to big and then have trouble at low rpms. The problem is that I dont know what kind of cam the last guy put in and I cant have a chip burnt correctly without the specs. Im gonna take your advice though and call Comp. Maybe they can help me out. Thanks for your help.

Alright I finally got through to Comp Cams. Since I have a TPI 350 I was recommended to use 12-262-4 cam. The specs are as follows:

218*/224* @.050" .464Int/.470Exh
RPM Band starts at 1500RPM's

I think this cam is smaller then the one that I was looking at in Summit. I was wondering if this was the stock cam the guy described. Should I get this cam since it was recommended by Comp? Thanks.

What did they mean by "recommended"? Recommended to make max power out of your setup or recommended to make some power but you won't have to reprogram your ECM?

Understand this, a cam swap is not a 2 hour job. It is 18 hrs byt the book so, if you are going to do it, make it count. Ask someone who reprograms EPROMS like the people at www.fasterproms.com what they think is best. Have the EPROM reprogrammed and that will wake up the car even without the cam changes.

My mechanic works in a FORD dealership and certainly will not let me use a stall and keep it there for days while I ponder the can selection. I have already selected my camshaft to go with my AFR heads and the HSR I bought.

My wife will have an attitude if I tell her to park outside so I can screw with my car indefinately. I did that once for another car that was down for 2 months in the winter. She was not pleased. I take it to a dealership and they do it there for me. I pay them cash and they do it after hours.
