Engine

I am looking to buy a camaro but im not sure what year.On the 85 z28 how can you tell what 5.0l is in it?I know it had one std. and 2 opt. and if i find one i like it would be nice to know what engine is in it.Thanks for any help

Check the eighth diget/letter in the Vin number on the dash for the original engine installed in the car. The Tech Data on thirdgen.org will give you the engine info.

F=LB9
H=LG4
G=L69
