hey. i didn't use the ebay ram air boxes but made my own almost excact to the design. it took a lil creativeness, chalk, and a good cutting tool, but it wasn't too hard once u got the idea. i saw a .2-.3 second gain at the track and about 1-2 mpg gain on gas mileage. good for a cheap mod. just don't go flying threough puddles or nothing. lol then you'll have problems

I was thinking about getting the TPI aircleaner snout for my car (which is TBI) and then getting these ram air boxes so I am interested in this as well. I am kinda suspicsious because they don't show pictures of the actual product, just a drawing.

at Thirdgen.org they had a thread on Ram Air Boxes a while ago. people were saying that once they hit 50-60 mph and they hit the gas it would just take off. But under 50mph u dont really notice anything, except on the acceleration.

You shouldnt feel a difference until about Mach 3.5. Ram air at car speeds is a myth. As for the original question, I wouldnt spend any extra cash to get ram air over a normal CAI, just get the cheapest functional one you can find.

Whats your point? Of course they make a difference, I never disputed the benefits of cold air induction. Reread my post before you go on some childish rant.
