Easiest way to take this power antenna out

hey guys , my power antenna in my 84 z28 has shorted out somehow and keeps running and running so It needs to come out or at least be unplugged from the power. I tried pullin the radio fuse then I took the radio out and it just keeps humming and running my battery dead. I cant feel it through the hole or see it and the manual tells me I have to take the fender off ??? I just want it to stop running my batt dead in the meantime.Any advice ???

The plug is under the dash on the passeger side by the ECM it is a three wire plug. The reason the motor kkeps running is probably due to the plastic cable that pushes the antenna up and down brock. Usually it breaks off right at the mast inside and if your really careful it can be reattached,if you want to try it PM me and I will try to talk you through it.

hehe too late I was pushing down on the antenna hoping it just came uningaged and would reengage and go down and stop humming . I ended up bending it bad and cut the mast in prep for removal this weekend. Thanks for the info on the plug tho , i can easily unhook that before work tomorrow and get it back on the road . thanks man
