Drag guys on stock wheel openings inside

Ok fellas,
getting new wheels and tires for the RS as the motor install is almost complete. Im thinking about going with the new bogart D-10 wheels but i need to know what backspacing and etc. Whats the biggest size rim that I can fit without tubbing and unreasonable hacking. I need to run a 10 inch slick at bare minimum with this setup. Im planning to roll the lips on the 1/4's and push the wells in a bit if needed. Thanks in advance.

28x10.5x15" MT Drags on a set of 15x8 Centerline Telstars with a 4" BS fit with plenty of inner fender clearance with the outer lip rolled on my 86 IROC. I suspect that with a different backspacing something as large as the 28x11 Goodyear or the 28.5x10.5 Firestone would fit. I don't know if the IROC's inner fender clearance is different than the RS or not.

Re: Drag guys on stock wheel openings inside

a few questions before i cna make a recomendation.
1. approx how much power are you putting down?
2. how much gear are you running?
3. what et/trap speed are you shooting for?
4. what other suspension/chassis prep have you done?

the ideal situation is to properly prep the chassis and suspension first and then go tire shopping. if you are planning to run in the 10's or high 9's i would get a good torque arm, tubular+rod ended control arms, control arm relo brackets, 50/50 rear shocks, drop teh front sway, V6 front springs, 90/10 struts, and run a 26x9.5-15 hossier quick time pro. that would be more than enough tire to hook you into the mid 9's.
one thing to be careful of is to not over tire the car, it will help you hook on less suspension prep, but it will slow your acceleation from teh 330's on.

later
tim

Dropping a sbc dynoed at 590 hp, 580 tq. All spohn suspension pieces. Spohn torque arm for th350, spohn panhard and LCAs. Stock springs, lakewood 50/50 lockups out back, no front swaybar, and QA1's up front. 410 gears, and im looking to run a 28' tall tire. Ten inch slick on stock opening is all im aiming for here.
